Few franchisees get into the game to run one shop—they generally aspire to own many, growing their mini-empires within an established business concept. But more outposts mean more responsibility, and learning to lead is essential to keeping a handful of locations in the black. Drew Lessaris, 28, is learning fast. He’s an operator within the uBreakiFix franchise—a service business that repairs electronic devices like phones, tablets and computers whose 500 locations generated $163 million in systemwide revenue last year. The future, he says, is all about growth, and he’s not worried about becoming bored running a device repair service, he says, because technology is always changing.

In related news, Samsung has also introduced the Expanded Samsung Care+ Device Protection Program, which allows same-day, walk-in mobile servicing at more than 100 stores nationwide. Samsung Care+ walk-in servicing is now available through three Samsung authorized partners: Fonelab, Mobile Klinik Professional Smartphone Repair, and uBreakiFix. The device protection program complements and is supplementary to the original equipment warranty and covers certain device issues, notably physical and liquid damage that renders a device inoperable, for up to two years to provide customers peace-of-mind knowing their devices will be supported by Samsung.

Samsung says all three repair chains have a combined 100 stores across the nation.

It has been confirmed that Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL owners will be able to get same-day repairs for their units from more than 450+ uBreakiFix locations across the United States. Only OEM parts will be used for repair jobs so customers can have peace of mind when they take their device in for a repair. Each location has a team of “Google trained technicians” who can perform the repair jobs that are required.
